BREAKING NEWS: Bono Wouldn’t Tolerate Diddy’s Daring….👇
A video of the awkward incident resurfaced online and went viral on social media after the disgraced music rapper was arrested on sex trafficking charges.
In the video, Combs was on stage to present the award for Best Original Song at the 2014 awards ceremony. Dailymail.
The win went to the U2 singer, 64, and his bandmates for their song ‘Ordinary Love’, which they wrote for the 2013 epic film ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’.
When they took to the stage to accept their award, U2 guitarist The Edge, 63, looked delighted as he hugged Combs.
The rapper then turned to hug Bono and appeared to lean in to give him a kiss on the cheek.
At the last moment, the rock star apparently pulled away and turned to go to the microphone to give their acceptance speech.
According to a report from RadarOnline, Bono is ‘still shaking’ thinking about the moment on stage.
“Many fans are saying that the obvious discomfort with Bono’s body language all those years ago is a sign that he knew something was wrong with Diddy — to say the least,” an insider told the outlet.
The source clarified that Bono did not know what Combs was doing or the allegations against him at the time.
“There’s no way he knew the depths of his depravity or would have spoken up, but there was no way Bono would have let him anywhere near him, even 10 years ago.
The source added, stressing: “He still shudders when he thinks about it.”
Several social media users took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions to the resurfaced clip.
