Taʏlᴏr Swɪft Reacts to Travis Kelce’s Bold Message to Her on Twitter
Taylor Swift has got a ton of musical mileage out of the romantic relationships that have come and gone in her life, but those guys haven’t been the truly essential players in her journey to the top of the pop star pyramid.
It’s Scott and Andrea Swift, Taylor’s parents, who have championed their daughter since day one, believing in her so much that they left their palatial house in Reading, Penn., for Nashville, where a determined 14-year-old Taylor felt she had to be to make her dream a reality.
Talking to CMT, she said her parents weren’t just indulging her for the sake of being supportive. “My parents actually believed it,” she said.
Before her Reputation Tour touched down in Philadelphia, she took a few friends to visit her childhood home, a Christmas tree farm in Wyomissing, where the new owners were apparently happy to let the famous former resident in to take a look at her old room.
Twelve years ago, Travis Kelce surely did not see dating Taylor Swift in his future, nor did the Kansas City Chiefs icon expect legions of “Swifties” to pore over his old tweets

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship has taken America by storm, and it is perhaps their differences that make them such a fascinating couple.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar has been dating the 12-time Grammy Award winner for a couple of months and jetted to Argentina last week to watch her perform during his bye week. Swift, 33, took her “The Eras Tour” international for the first time with a three-show stint in Buenos Aires and Kelce was in attendance at the River Plate soccer stadium.
During one of her performances, Swift tweaked the words to her song “Karma”, looking at Kelce, 34, in the crowd and said “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs”, sending the crowd wild. Kelce met Swift’s father, Scott, during the trip and all indications are the couple’s romance is blossoming rapidly, with the “Cruel Summer” songstress rushing in the four-time All-Pro’s direction to kiss him after the performance was over.
They have been one of the biggest stories in the country since Swift was in attendance at the Chiefs’ victory over the Chicago Bears on Sep. 24, effectively confirming their relationship, and she has attended three of his games since.
They say opposites attract and there can be no denying that Kelce and Swift are from different worlds, shown by an unearthed tweet from more than a decade ago that has got Swift’s legion of fans – known as “Swifties” – talking.
A Swift superfan called Veronica posted a screenshot of a tweet Kelce posted in 2011 when he was playing college ball for the Cincinnati Bearcats. It read: “I just gave a squirle (sic) a peice (sic) of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy”
A “Swiftie” went viral after unearthing an old Travis Kelce tweet.
Veronica pointed out that in the same year Swift released a 10-minute epic called “All Too Well”, with some rather deep and intricate lyrics.
The song goes: “From when your Brooklyn broke my skin and bones, I’m a soldier who’s returning half her weight, and did the twin flame bruise paint you blue? Just between us, did the love affair maim you too?”
The post went viral, with more than 70 likes within 24 hours, with several users calling Kelce a “Himbo”, slang for an unintelligent yet handsome man.
After seeing the reaction to her post, Veronica joked: “Oh my god, Travis, I’m so sorry. I swear I’m not making fun of you, king. You made several points in your tweets and I support you.”
So Kelce may not be a wordsmith like his girlfriend, but she does not appear to care one bit. Swift has thrown herself into integrating with Kelce’s inner circle, including teammate Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany, and their romance shows no signs of slowing down.
