Update: Adele plans major London step as she feels ‘homesick’ and ‘disillusioned with Hollywood’
Adele reportedly feels “homesick” and is said to be looking to return to the UK after being “disillusioned” with Hollywood.
The singer, who recently confirmed her engagement to sports agent Rich Paul, is house-hunting for a “beautiful” home in the UK.
After wowing fans during her Vegas residency, Adele has announced plans to take a break from music to relax and focus on herself.
According to the Daily Mail, Grammy Award-winning singer Adele is seemingly tired of Hollywood and wants to move back home.
A source told the news outlet that she is already searching for a new place to call home in the UK, one that is “beautiful and secure” in the “capital.”
They also noted that Adele does not intend to sell her stunning $58 million Beverly Hills mansion she shares with her fiancé, Paul, but only wants to spend half the year in the US and the other half in her home country.
“She plans on keeping her house in LA, but wants to spend at least half the year back home,” the source said.
Adele, who finally concluded her two-year Las Vegas residency on November 23, is said to be determined to move back to the UK with her eight-year-old and her partner, Paul.
However, sources claim that Paul is trying to convince her not to relocate. “Rich has been trying to talk her out of it, but Adele is a very strong woman,” the source claimed. “Once she’s made up her mind, no one can change it.”
When the singer initially bought her Los Angeles home, several expected that she would make the place her permanent home.
Reports also earlier claimed that Adele was planning to transition into acting, with the singer allegedly taking acting lessons to sharpen her skills, even telling her team to put out the word to top producers and filmmakers.
However, Adele was not presented the opportunities she allegedly hoped for and this left her feeling “disillusioned” with Hollywood.
During her Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace, Adele held up her left hand to show off her stunning pear-shaped engagement ring, confirming her engagement to Rich Paul.
A video shared on X captured the moment as fans erupted in applause when the famous artist sang, “In these crazy times I hope to find / Something I can cling on to,” proudly flashing the ring.
The 36-year-old singer and the 43-year-old sports agent have been together for three years, with Adele first sharing news of their engagement in August during a concert in Germany.
