She walked on stage, introduced herself and said “I just thought I’d go it alone, then if I’m not successful I don’t have to admit that to anyone.” With no friends or family there to support her, she stepped up to the mic and delivered a captivating, sultry version of Frank Sinatra’s classic “My Funny Valentine”. After completely underselling her talents, Alice’s performance left the audience and the judges in a state of shock and even prompted Amanda Holden to say, “I fell in love with you [during that performance]”. Alice faced her fears by showing up for a nerve-wracking audition that went on to receive over 91 million views as people comment on the authenticity of her stunning vocal performance that was reminiscent of the late Amy Winehouse.
