Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, reportedly collapsed and lost consciousness Tuesday morning after learning that her 5-month-old son, Golden Raye Mahomes, was confirmed unresponsive by emergency personnel.
According to early reports from local sources close to the family, the incident occurred shortly after 9:00 AM at the Mahomes’ residence.
Emergency services were called when baby Golden was found unresponsive in his crib. Paramedics reportedly arrived within minutes and attempted to resuscitate the infant.
Ten minutes after their arrival, medical staff confirmed that the baby was unresponsive and in critical condition. Upon receiving the news, Brittany Mahomes reportedly went into shock, collapsed, and briefly lost consciousness.
She was immediately treated by paramedics on scene and later transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Sources close to the family state that she is now stable and conscious but remains under observation due to extreme emotional distress.
Golden Raye, born in December 2024, is the second child of the Mahomes family. The couple also shares a daughter, Sterling Skye, who is currently three years old.
As of this writing, there has been no official statement from the Mahomes family or their representatives. The condition of the infant remains undisclosed, though unconfirmed sources suggest that he was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital for emergency care.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid briefly addressed the media, stating, “We’re aware of the situation and our hearts go out to Patrick, Brittany, and their children. We’re keeping them in our prayers.”
