Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, shared a heartfelt plea on social media just one day after the Chiefs’ Christmas win. “Asking for prayers for my father,” she wrote in an Instagram post, accompanied by a touching selfie with her dad, Randy Martin.
Randy Martin has been hospitalized since September, and the family has been open about his ongoing health challenges. This comes just months after another devastating loss-the passing of Patrick’s maternal grandmother in April 2023.
A bittersweet celebration
Despite the challenges, Randi Mahomes remains focused on the positives, highlighting family unity and her son’s NFL success. “Amazing Christmas Day with all my favorite people, FaceTime my daddy!!!” she shared earlier in the week. “And of course Chiefs Win!!! #BLESSED.”
