The trade of the former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans has been garnering a lot of reactions from the NFL community. Diggs’ position as the Bills starter became uncertain last season and multiple analysts forecasted a trade for him, which eventually came to fruition.

Following that, Keyshawn Johnson, the former player turned analyst claimed that Diggs would have a better role in the Houston Texans compared to what he had with the Buffalo Bills. He tried to indicate that the Bills failed to utilize him properly, going on to add that they only exploited him but never achieved the fullest.

He’s a talent that the Texans will benefit from. The Buffalo Bills didn’t benefit from his talent…They only went so far. Way better fit in Houston. He’s happy in Houston. He was not happy in Buffalo.

He did not stop at that. The analyst criticized the mentality of the Buffalo Bills team. In his words, it was reflected that the Bills gave more importance to their quarterback Josh Allen, and less prioritized players like Stefon Diggs.

When you are in a situation and everything is built around your quarterback that isn’t getting the same criticism and the same vitriol as you may as a player, you look at that and you say, ‘Well, this is ridiculous. They’re making it seem as though everything that has gone on wrong in Buffalo is Stefon Diggs’ problem.’Not Josh Allen’s problem.’ They boost Josh Allen up to another level.

Stefon Diggs feels energetic in his new colors

After joining the Houston Texans, the wide receiver seems to be in a rather happy place. In a video clip shared by the Texans on X, Stefon Diggs was seen sharing a message stating that he could not wait to contribute to the team’s cause in the coming time

This energy was seemingly seen missing during his Bills’ tenure. The WR even indulged in a ‘war of words’ with a Bills fan who claimed that his service was not needed for the teams’ success. It was a reflection that Diggs did not feel much appreciated by the Bills management.
