Patrick Mahomes’ Mom Had Some Interesting Comments About Brittany’s Relationship With Taylor Swift
Randi Mahomes, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is getting ready to watch her son play in yet another Super Bowl when his team plays the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.
Randi Mahomes recently had an interview where she was asked about Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes while at the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday.
“It’s hard at this point to meet people that are true and real and they kind of found each other,” Randi told Page Six. “They really, I mean, talk all the time and they’re like, really good friends.”
Randi absolutely loves seeing Swift at games because she brings the young girls out who are now learning about the game because of her.
“It’s so exciting! I love it because, you know, I hear all the bad noise about it and I’m like this is bringing fathers together with their daughters, like I see that at games,” she said. “I meet so many little girls at the games with their dads. And it’s like, this is bringing families together when Sundays
would be dad’s day to watch football or go to the game and now they are at the airport bringing their little girls or their kids with them.”
The 34-year-old singer has been a regular at Chiefs’ games since September, when she and the team’s tight end, Travis Kelce, went public with their relationship. Swift and Brittany have since been seen at multiple games as well as out and about in public.
Randi has gained recognition as a parent of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and two-time Super Bowl MVP in recent years, so she was already familiar with the spotlight.
Patrick Mahomes Sr. also got a taste when they met Taylor but that extra attention now has him in the media after being arrested for his third DWI.
Randi said that in her pre-Taylor era, she was rarely shown on TV at football games, “because I’m usually on the floor with the grandkids, or pacing because I stress.” However, that changed after she started spending time with the Grammy Award winner.
“[Now] I know people are, like, [watching, so] I just try to smile,” she added. “I don’t [always] have it in me. I’m watching the game and I’m, like, covering my face and all that.”
Taylor Swift made her 12th NFL appearance at the AFC Championship showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The red-and-gold team has a 9-3 record with Swift in the stands.
