Royal Fairytale Reborn: Prince William and Princess Kate Secretly Leave Adelaide Cottage for an Eight-Bedroom Georgian Mansion — Sources Say “Forest Lodge Will Be Their Forever Home” as the Family Starts Anew Amid Health Challenges and Palace Shake-Ups
The Prince and Princess of Wales have officially moved into Forest Lodge in Windsor with their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Leaving behind Adelaide Cottage, their previous four-bedroom home, the family has settled into a much larger eight-bedroom Georgian mansion — a place of elegance, privacy, and history.
Described as a fresh start after recent challenging years — including health battles faced by both the Princess of Wales and King Charles — Forest Lodge marks a new season of stability for the Wales family.
Nestled within Windsor Great Park’s 4,800 acres, the Grade II-listed house dates back to the 1770s and features classic Georgian charm: original stonework, Venetian windows, and marble fireplaces.
The family reportedly will not have live-in staff, choosing instead to maintain a more hands-on, family-oriented lifestyle. They are also said to be paying market rent to the Crown Estate and have personally funded the renovations.
Seen as a long-term residence, Forest Lodge may well become the Wales family’s forever home — even when Prince William eventually becomes King. 👑
